Thank you to everyone who contributed to our Sports Relief week of activities. We are delighted to have raised a massive £312.70 which will be sent off to Sports Relief. Well done everyone!
A massive thank you to everyone who contributed to our Macmillan Coffee Morning! We had great helpers including the PTA and Pupil Council. The baking was of a fantastic standard! A special thank you to Clark's Bakery for their thoughtful donation. It was much appreciated. We are still to add up the final total but it would seem the whole school community were very generous - thank you so much!
CONGRATULATIONS to Mrs McCann, Mr M Dinsmore, Mrs L Inglis, staff and boys and girls of Law Primary who helped us gain our
Sports Scotland Gold Award. What an achievement!
A message from Sports Scotland:
We are delighted to inform you that your school has been awarded a sportscotland Gold School Sport Award for 2018-2021.
The Gold School Sport Award is recognition of your school’s achievements in putting sport at the heart of your school’s planning, practice and ethos. The Gold Award also highlights that your school has shown excellent practice across the core areas of the Award and demonstrated an on-going commitment to increase young people’s opportunities and engagement in physical education, school sport and leadership and provide clear pathways to life-long participation in sport.
Lockerbie update 10.10am: I'm afraid we are having WiFi issues which is making it hard to upload photos. Please be assured that the children are well, have had a good night's sleep and are having a ball! Currently Law pupils are on High Ropes, Archery, Orienteering and water sports. We will try to send Tweets and upload photos when we can.
12:50pm: We have just finished lunch on day two, lots of empty plates! The weather has not been great but that hasn't stopped anyone from taking part in the activities. We will be heading out again shortly to start the afternoon sessions, these include: raft building, crate stack, initiative exercises and more.
The Council intend to make it easier for families to claim free school meals and clothing grants. Please click here for more information.
15.6.18 Congratulations to Mrs Blades who has recently celebrated over 40 years’ service as Captain and a dedicated member of the Fifth Motherwell Girls Brigade. She was awarded The British Empire Medal by Her Majesty The Queen for services to young people and the community in Motherwell. She instigated the Duke of Edinburgh Award and Queen’s Award schemes and has helped many girls achieve these awards. Throughout her life she has always gone over and above the call of duty to others in all walks of life. Mrs Blades is a very valued member of staff here at Law Primary School and Nursery Class and always provides the right support and guidance. She is an inspiration to every staff member past and present. We wish her all the best for her celebratory garden party at Holyrood Palace on 4th July.
