Latest News (26.1.18)
Mrs Kiamari and the boys and girls in Rom 8 are piloting the new chrome books in class and at home with a view to using them for homework activities and research. Unfortunately, due to the weather conditions the boys and girls in Room 8 were unable to showcase their skills in playing the Glockenspiel with their music teacher Mrs Cunningham. Watch this space, they may have an opportunity to play at their assembly later on in the year.


Some of the children are reading the novel ‘The Demon Headmaster’ by Gillian Cross in class and their choice of book, from the class library, at home. Others are enjoying Reading ‘The Project X Books’ by Jan Burchett and Sara Vogler. These books are about a Micro World and 4 Micro Agents who are trying to save the inventor Macro Marvel.
This term the children will be developing their writing skills in describing characters and settings through the genre of Fairy tales.

In Big Maths the boys and girls will continue developing their skills in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing whole numbers and decimals to 1 place. They will weigh objects using grams and kilograms and revise the 12 and 24-hour clock.
Health and Wellbeing

The focus this term is on inclusion. Pupils will discuss being included in school and community life in which they live and learn.

Term 3 in PE will focus on developing the physical competencies of body movement, balance & control and flexibility. This will be taught through gymnastics whereby attention will be given to weight on hands, climbing, hanging and swinging. Please note for the safety of all pupils it is important that your child has secure fitting, non-slip indoor shoes and removes all jewellery for these sessions. Loose and/or long hair should also be tied back.

PE (Mrs Kiamari)
This term pupils are learning skills in rugby such as running, controlling and passing the ball underarm. Our swimming block also continues.


The pupils will explore the life and times of Mary Queen of Scots.
