Latest News

Children In Need - Room 7 joined with Room 8 to plan and organise a variety of fantastic events for Children In Need. This was a huge success and resulted in Law Primary raising £748.74!

Google Classrooms are regularly updated. We hope that you enjoy viewing the different photographs and videos already uploaded.

Primary 5 have recently finished a block of swimming lessons at Carluke Leisure Centre. They enjoyed this very much and are now looking forward to using and developing these skills next time they swim.


Mrs Gibson and the boys and girls were delighted to meet many visitors to Room 7 at our open day.

Music Tuition

Primary 5 are continuing to learn to play the g
lockenspiel and will soon showcase their learning at a musical event planned for Tuesday 4th December at 9.30am.  Our visiting guitar music specialist is continuing to work with small groups each week.

Literacy –
Room 7 will be working on story writing (narrative) and are developing their writing through the Talk for Writing approach. More details to follow. Keep an eye on Google classroom for this.

Numeracy –
The children in Room 7 will be focussing on addition and subtraction.

The health and wellbeing focus this term is healthy and Room 7 will be discussing how to make healthy choices in their lives. 

In P.E. the children have been learning to complete the Sportshall athletic activities, where they have participated in a series of timed active tasks such as obstacle course and long jump.

Topic –
Room 7’s topic this term is Australia.
The children will do a comparative study, comparing Scotland and Australia. This will be an interdisciplinary topic, therefore lots of opportunities will be provided for learning across the curriculum, with a particular focus on ICT and art.

Growth Mindset -
The children have been learning about the different parts of the brain. They have discussed the different jobs these parts do. The children will continue to learn a new mantra each month. November's mantra -  I am a valued member of this learning community. December's mantra - We Love A Challenge!
