Room 3 have been very busy learning about different types of Castles from the past and present day.
We would like to use this space to celebrate pupil’s achievements. If your child has participated in an event or has been awarded a certificate, medal etc. out with school please remember to let us know by writing a note in their diary. Also remember to ask for a wider achievement form from the school office so that the achievement can be displayed on the wider achievement wall.
Our class novel is The BFG and pupils have made dream catchers and written about their favourite dreams. All pupils also have a reading book and are working on activities related to them. In writing, we are recalling the story of The Gingerbread man and sequencing the story. We have made a class book of the story and pupils will re-write the story changing one aspect of it i.e. a character he met on the way to the river or changing the fox to a different animal.
In maths we are learning about 2 and 3 D shape with Mrs Shields and in Numeracy P2 are working on addition to 10 and P3 are working on numbers to 1000 counting on and back in 4's and 5's and squencing 3 digit numbers with Mrs Kiamari.
This term we will be focusing on the topics Internet and road safety.
Term 1 in PE will be focusing on ball skills catching and throwing. Please note for the safety of all pupils it is important that your child has secure fitting, non-slippery indoor shoes and removes all jewellery for these sessions. Loose and/or long hair should also be tied back.
Our social studies topic is all about different types of castles and castle life in the past.
